Vera may be named after the spacy, outgoing waitress on the TV show “Alice” (also known as
“Mel’s Diner”), but she’s actually a quiet master of observation. “Vera is a little more reserved
and likes to watch things happen around her,” says her foster dad. But her very favorite pastime?
Snoozing – specifically when cradled on her back like a baby in someone’s arms. “She just melts
in your arms when you pick her up and cradle her on her back. She just drifts off to sleep as you
pet her belly and chest.” And, of course, her other hobby is wowing all the humans around her
with her uniquely gorgeous calico coat. Vera would thrive in a quieter home where “she can just
let life come to her” – especially if it’s time to drift off while being cuddled. Can’t you just
