Sometimes our volunteers just seem to be in the right place at the right time. Such was the case with precious Reba! When we were invited back to a completed TNR project, we spotted this multi-colored beauty – only she wasn’t so beautiful back then. “She was very thin and covered in her own drool,” recalls her foster mom. When Reba’s caretaker, a veteran with disabilities, gave his blessing for Whiskers to take her, our veterinarian pinpointed stomatitis as her health issue, which meant she needed to have all her teeth removed. It was a big surgery and recovery, but this “pretty laidback cat” has taken it in stride and is finally ready for a home of her very own. Reba’s favorite hobby is sleeping adorably in a sunny spot and being her humans’ center of attention, so her foster dad thinks she would prefer to be someone’s only feline friend.
