Max arrived as a colony cat who needed to be neutered and get help for his battle wounds. Then something remarkable happened: On just day two, Max’s adorable personality started to come out. “He showed us that he did have a sweet side in there and could be adoptable,” says his foster dad. “Ever since then he has proved us right and is still learning how to be loving pet.” He’s realizing how fun cat toys can be, and that he has a big ol’ purr box. “He rubs up against everything he can, purring away, whenever he sees me. Funniest thing about it is, he swishes his tail the whole time, so he sends some mixed signals, but I can tell that he is happy.” Max hasn’t been tested with dogs or kids, but he likes all cats. In fact, his foster dad thinks a feline companion would be perfect to show Max the ropes of indoor life. “He would love to have a cat buddy to teach him the way.”
