Hi! My Name Is Maria

An adoption inquiry for Maria would be music to our ears. As the mama to the “Mr. Jones Litter” – named after that oh-so-catchy Counting Crows tune – we find ourselves staring at this yellow-hair girl, thinking about how thankful we are she’ll have a better future now. “She was trapped with her kittens in a neighborhood where she was not welcome,” says their foster dad. “I
don’t think the people in the area were very nice to her as she was just trying to keep her babies safe.” But now, Maria and her babies, Dylan, Mr. Jones and Picasso, are thriving in the care of Whiskers – although Maria is still learning that she can trust humans. “She is sweet, but definitely has a sassy side. She is still trying to adjust to life where the people around her love her.” Because Maria can still get a little scared at times, her foster dad thinks she’d do best in a forever home that is quieter and with adopters who will have patience with her. Just like the song says, Maria needs someone “to believe in me.”
