Meet Johnny. He has been living as a colony cat in Warren County. In 2019, Johnny’s colony was 100% spayed, neutered and vaccinated. He was TNR’d (trapped-neutered-returned) in September 2019 and since then he has been doing well as part of his established and regularly cared-for colony. Johnny’s caretaker noticed some changes during this past Fall and coordinated with Whiskers to have him checked out by a veterinarian.
Johnny tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. He initially received antibiotics and continues to receive TLC in his temporary foster home. Johnny’s life has been that of a colony cat. He hasn’t been in a home, slept on a couch, or been picked up. He is certainly learning to trust humans and has made strides in the past few months, but he has more progress to make. It may be a while before he adjusts to life as a beloved pet, but we are hopeful that day is in his future.
Whiskers is asking for your help in a few areas. Would you consider being a long-term foster for Johnny? If so, please complete a foster application. Would you consider adopting Johnny? If so, please complete an adoption application. Would you consider donating to help pay his medical bills and ongoing care for his chronic respiratory crud? Please watch the video on his profile and then visit for other videos of Johnny. We’ll try to add more videos in the days ahead. We have identified a favorite of Johnny’s, and that is Churu Nourish. Thank you for your support for kitty Johnny.
