Drogo

When one of our volunteers met this big boy, she dubbed him “the Jason Momoa of cats.” Spot on, eh? The smoldering stare. The scars that just add more character. The sheer size! We named Drogo after Momoa’s character on “Game of Thrones” because he had to be a warrior to survive before coming to Whiskers. “He was part of a large outdoor colony where the caretaker unexpectantly passed away,” says Drogo’s foster dad. “This left him and all of his companions’ lives turned upside down.” Thank goodness some kind souls stepped in as caretakers as Whiskers worked to TNR the colony and find them new homes. Drogo tested positive for FIV but can still live a long, healthy life. And although he is still figuring out people, he’s shown he’s a “huge sweetheart” who belongs by their side! Drogo loves face scratches, thinks that kitten food is a delicacy and would thrive in a home where he’d be given time and space to settle in. And believe us – this feline heartthrob will be worth the effort. “Thankfully he doesn’t have to be a warrior king anymore.”
