Hi! My Name Is Biryani

We're happy to tell you that Biryani has a new furever home.

The original biryani just might be the ultimate Indian comfort food – mounds of rice bejeweled with exotic spice. The feline version? “She can be a little spicy,” said her foster mom, “but with love, time and attention, she can be cooled down to the spice level of your choice.” Even Biryani’s luscious locks are exotic: She’s among the only 20 percent of orange or buff cats who are female. Otherwise, some of her mannerisms are charmingly cat-next-door. She’s been known to snuggle in the warm pouch of a hoodie, and “she has a pink bird toy that she loves to dip in her water to see if it is thirsty, too.” Originally an outdoor kitten, Biryani will need time and space to continue to bond with people, but she is already “curious about humans and what makes us tick. … You can see the playful side in her starting to come out.” Are you ready for an order
of Biryani?
