As the mama to the “Famous Figures” litter, sweet Bernice is a legend in her own right! Her name was inspired by not one but SEVEN famous Bernices in history, including the grandmother of Whiskers TNR’s very own founder. “Bernice embodies the power of what females often encompass," says her foster mom. "She is a great caretaker to her five kittens.” Bernice especially loves to chat and cuddle with her people, but she does have a “hisses for kisses” rule. “Pets, cuddles, playing, love and attention – she’s here for all of it. Kisses on the forehead ... not so much. She won't hurt you, but she will hiss at you and tell you that is not something she enjoys.” If you appreciate a loving cat with a mind of her own, Bernice would go down in history as your best furry friend.
