Atlas may be named for the Greek god in charge of holding up the sky and heavens, but he’d rather hold down the fort on his favorite human’s lap. His foster mom described him as “sleepy, sweet and social – also known as the Great Lap Cat.” Not as rambunctious as his siblings, Athena and Zeus, Atlas struggled to say goodbye to his adoptive mama when it was time for weaning. “He missed her terribly. He now snuggles with his humans. He even gives ‘love bites’ and tries to nurse on our arms.” Atlas is a talkative kitten who also enjoys playtime, so he’d be happiest in a home with toys and a buddy to join him on his adventures. But most of all, he’s looking for “a human that enjoys a cat on top of them,” especially if they’d stroke his face and ears – his very favorite thing that brings on his supersized purr.
