Annie may be named for the bold ’80s songstress Annie Lennox, but she was fragile and timid when she first arrived at Whiskers from a large outdoor colony. “It felt like we were walking on broken glass,” says her foster mom. “She was struggling to gain weight and thrive, but with some extra attention and care she bounced right back.” In fact, now Annie’s favorite hobby is
running “all the zoomies out of her system” and then heading to her favorite hammock to catch some Z’s. While she’s fond of humans now, she had the funniest habit when she was still making up her mind about them. “She would be running around, let you pick her up and hold her, and then realize it and hiss at you. Hisses get kisses around here, and now she loves attention.” In fact, Annie has made so much progress that her foster mom thinks she’d be a showstopper in any loving home. “Sweet dreams are made by this kitty. She is a tiny little thing, but she is ready to rock and roll.”
