When Fried Pickles was brought to Whiskers from a large outdoor colony, at first she thought she was, well, in a pickle. “Of the four kittens that we have from there, she definitely took the longest to come around and see how great people are,” recalls her initial foster dad, adding that her “very distinct” and “downright pitiful” meow instantly tugged at his heart. And while Fried Pickles would still be happiest in a quieter home where she’s allowed to settle in at her own pace, her current foster mom reports that she has a “loud purr and is so snuggly.
