On one of this winter’s most frigid nights, George appeared on the doorstep of a Whiskers volunteer. Although his background was a mystery, his disposition was not. “He loves being held and snuggled,” she said of her first impression of him. After trying to find his former family but having no luck, Whiskers TNR officially welcomed George into a foster home. His favorite pastimes there have been watching birds and squirrels from a windowsill, and being constantly “sweet and happy,” even despite needing a cone as he recovers from a wound. Although George hasn’t been tested with kids, “he is very patient and easy to handle, so we believe that he would be great.” In fact, his foster mom thinks he would thrive in most any home where “he can be around his people often.
